Spray Tans
Spray tans, like other sunless tanning products, contain a chemical called dihydroxyacetone, commonly known as DHA. DHA is absorbed into your top layer of skin cells and causes a chemical reaction that makes them darken.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Your golden glow should last a week to a week and a half. Darker shades typically last up to two weeks. Remember to moisturize every day for a nice even fade!
The answer depends, but for most people, having a spray tan appointment every 9-12 days is the perfect cadence to maintain your glow and get the most out of each tan. If you’re planning a spray tan for a special occasion, we recommend booking your appointment for 2 days before the event.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our spray tan treatment involves standing in a spray tent, where a fine mist made of up tanning solution will be gently sprayed onto your body. You can rock your undies or swimsuit, or go fully nude - totally up to you! You’ll notice the tan is very subtle immediately after and will slowly get darker as it develops. Check out the pre-care instructions down below to get the perfect tan!

GOOD TO KNOW
Pre Appointment:
-
Shower, exfoliate, and shave or wax before your appointment. The smoother your skin is, the better your tan will look; it will also last longer!
-
Come with no makeup, oils, heavy creams, or deodorant on. If you're on the go before your appointment, baby wipes and a face cleanser will be provided.
-
If you have dry skin, moisturize as much as you can the week leading up to your spray, then exfoliate the day before/day of.
-
Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Anything too tight can smudge the product, resulting in an uneven tan. (e.g., sweatpants and a baggy tee or a t-shirt dress.)
-
Don't schedule a hair, nail, or lash appointment for right after your spray - get them done before or after you wash it off.
-
Plan your appointment based on when you want to shower it off. We recommend waiting 8-10 hours.
Post Appointment Care:
-
Avoid activities that provoke sweating or any contact with liquid during the development period. If it's raining or snowing outside, wear covering clothes.
-
Do not apply cream or makeup on the skin during the development perod.
-
Wait 8 to 12 hours before showering. Rinse the whole body and face thoroughly. Rinse until the water is clear. For the first shower, we recommend not using soap (use a gentle soap with no loofa if necessary).
-
Moisturize the skin daily with a gentle lotion.
-
To promote an even and long lasting tan, avoid excessive sweating, jacuzzis or saunas, taking long hot baths or showers, as well as using body products containing mineral oils, petroleum and alcohol. Use gentle facial cleansers, no oil-based or exfoliating products. Do not wax areas where solution has been applied for the duration of the resuit. A delicate shaving may be done occasionally.
