Microneedling & PRP

Microneedling has been shown to improve many different types of skin imperfections including acne scars, sun spots, melasma, thinning, fine lines and wrinkles, pore size etc. Book a complimentary consultation to learn more and find out if microneedling is right for you.

HOW IT WORKS

Microneedling

Creates hundreds of tiny pinholes in the top layer of skin or epidermis by using an electronic device called the Dp4. These superficial, tiny pinholes induce a healing process. This process essentially tricks the body into thinking the skin is actually damaged. As a result new collagen is created, which improves damage caused by acne scars, sunspots, wrinkles, and numerous other skin imperfections.

A small sample of blood is drawn from the patient and then processed to separate platelets, which are responsible for proliferation of reparative cells. This process triggers your body to create new collagen and elastin. The platelet rich plasma is used topically during the microneedling treatment.

PRP Injections

A small sample of blood is drawn from the patient and then processed to separate platelets, which are responsible for proliferation of reparative cells. This concentrated plasma is then injected into the skin to increase the density of the skin. This results in smoother, brighter skin.

Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) Injections. PRP injections are prepared from a small sample of the patient’s own blood. After being centrifuged (spun down), the clinician will retrieve the plasma portion of the blood. These activated platelets are injected into the scalp, releasing growth factors that recruit and increase the proliferation of reparative cells, and trigger new hair growth.
